Welcome to the Library, a club for the most elite poets that deviantART has to offer. We will officially open on Friday the 6th. Updates will be on every Sunday and posts will be on every Wednesday. Also we will operate on a points system, seen below in the "Detailed Rules" section of this journal. We will have a "word depository" at the end of this journal. This depository is a list of the words and themes that will be used in competitions. Please give us ideas to deposit. If you know of anyone you believe should be admitted to the library, contact our Head Librarian,
~The--Librarian, and he will take care of the matter. Questions and comment are always welcome here at the Library, just send us a note and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Detailed Rules and general FAQ
If you wish to be assigned a competition for next week please place a comment on this page including the word, "archive". You may challenge any member of the club or any one of the Librarians, all you have to do is send us a note before the journal and request it. You may be specific about structure, line limits, or the theme of the battle during these challenges. Now on to the points system mentioned above. This is to designate a hierarchy of classes in the Library. The system is fairly simplisic in design, you are awarded 1 point for every win and 0 points for every loss. You will be scored out of a possible 20 won batlles, 20 points. Above 12 and you have veteran membership. Between 1 and 12 you have Archivist membership, and if you score between 18 and 20 you will gain a new postion, to be created later.

How do I know which battle I am in?
First put the the Library
[link] homepage on your watched list to see when the journal comes out (this will also make you a member). Then, if you have signed up, your name, your opponents name, and your word or idea will be posted.

How do I summit my battle piece?
To submit you simply have to send the Library a note with the link to your poem's DevArt page inside. We will take care of the rest. To give us a link you must give us the URL to your poem, not your homepage.

How do I know if I have won?
After one week of open commenting/voting by other members we will decide who wins based on the comments/votes and post on the next journal.

What, if any, other involvement does the administrator have in battling?
The adnministrator will join a battle if there is an odd number of members who have signed up, or he may drop in on any battle of his choice to make that battle a three-way competition.

Do I have to battle every week?
No, but a minimum of one battle per month is required.
